Window and Door Grant

Claim the SEAI Window Grant in Ireland with an Approved Installer

We are a registered installer with the Sustainable Energy Authority of Ireland (SEAI), meaning homeowners can now apply for the SEAI window grant in Ireland when upgrading to energy-efficient windows and doors. The SEAI home energy upgrade scheme provides financial support to help improve your home’s energy efficiency, reduce heat loss, and lower heating bills. As an approved SEAI installer, we supply and install high-performance windows and doors that meet the requirements of the SEAI grant scheme. If you are planning to upgrade your windows or doors, our team can guide you through the process and help you take full advantage of the available SEAI grants in Ireland.

Some Key Eligibility Requirements for the Window and Door Grant

  • Glazing Type: You must be replacing existing single or double-glazed windows with high-performing alternatives (typically triple-glazed or high-spec double-glazed) that achieve a U-value of 1.4 W/m²K or better
  • Property Age: Your home must have been built and occupied before 2011. (specifically occupied before 31 oct 2010)
  • Insulation Standard: To qualify for the standalone grant, your home must already have adequate attic and wall insulation, if unknown customer will need to consult with BER assessor; it would be best if customer asks BER assessor to check what improvements the customer needs to do to comply with the grant.
  • Heat Loss Indicator (HLI): After the windows are installed, your home must achieve a HLI of 2.3 or lower. This is verified by a post-works Building Energy Rating (BER) assessment, which is also grant-aided.
  • Comply with current building Regulations: for Example like a new house, fire escapes / child restrictors / wheelchair access / ventilation, these are all very important aspects to be adhered to by the home owner. Ventilation is extreamly important, NO ADEQUATE VENTILATION = NO GRANT. Ventilation can be achieved through wall vents/ window vents/ mechanical ventilation. It is very important to discuss this with your BER Acessor!
  • If You Previously got a grant for wall and roof insulation you still qualify for the window and door grant.

  • Have your MPRN No. to Hand: it is important to have your ESB MPRN number to hand as the SEAI will be looking for this when you get in touch about the grant!
